ObamaUN.JPG“Truth exists when what is, is said to be, and when what is not is said not to be. Falsity will consist in the excess, when what is not is said to be; or in defect, when what is, is said not to be.” Thomas Aquinas

Addressing the UN this week, President Obama said “I draw strength from young Americans…who are remaking our nation once again, who are unconstrained by old habits and old conventions and unencumbered by what is, but are instead ready to seize what ought to be.”

One probably wouldn’t want to fly in an airplane with a pilot who had such a view of reality. And yet the man who sees himself as the most important person in the world, and is acting on it, has such a view — while the wreckage piles up, from the burning of Charlotte to the burning of Syria.

President Obama’s legacy will be a nation and world more divided and self-destructing than when he came into office, with his untruthfulness a key factor.

Marriage2016dAren’t we all slaves, the question is are we submitting to Love or to sin?

Love begins at home.

TopmanWhen advancement is unearned the community is diminished. To be healthy in a community people need to be of one mind and one heart, on the way to God. They need to leave behind all self-seeking in order to find happiness in love for the other.

‘Take envy away, and what I have is yours. Take envy away, and what you have is mine. Possess love, and you possess everything.’ St Augustine

MoMA-DuchampThe same diabolical energy that is behind the destruction of Libya, Syria, and Ukraine is now driving the Black Domination Movement in America — which will likely end the same way, with the U.S. Justice Department on the side of disorder.

The best hope for overcoming the new tyranny of selfishness and hatred, brought on by Marx-inspired activists corrupting the African-American community, is for good black men to step-up and confront the lies and distortions. Sadly, many black women have been seduced by the propaganda and miseducation, of said activists, and are channeling hatred (“Get’em”) rather than wisdom in these days.

StreetArt080316America’s aversion to truth (including humility and purity), especially among political leaders, has paved the way for evil and madness to fill the void, as the presidential campaign aptly demonstrates.

It’s worth noting, at the birth of the nation,”most people in the early 1790’s did not want (political) parties. Not only the exalted George Washington, who was trying to be president of all the people, but Jefferson, Hamilton, and Madison railed against the spirit of party. ‘If I could not go to heaven but with a party,’ Jefferson explained, ‘I would not go there at all.'” The Deadlock of Democracy, (Prentice, 1967)

StreetArt-TimesSquare2016aAmerica’s rights revolution — born of the tendency to absolutize the subjective, can fail to recognize the demands of solidarity, and thus lead to new forms of slavery and poverty.

Father'sDay2016aHuman identity, in all it’s aspects of solitude and communion, is anchored in the reality of “made in the image of God.” Rebelling from that starting point, and original unity, has led to widespread disorder within and among persons.

With a new consciousness, in communion with the Father, humanity is formed again as the communion of persons.

“Cause us to return, O our Father, unto thy Law: draw us near, O our King, unto thy service, and bring us back in perfect repentance unto thy presence. Blessed art thou. O Lord, who delightest in repentance.” Afternoon Service, The Standard Machsor, 1925

FeedTheBeastThe American presidential candidates are making “untruthfulness” a front and center issue. This after years of bipartisan rebellion from truth that has seen the country go dark, turning it into a beast that devours souls at home and abroad.

Growing wine consumption by American Millennials (42% of all wine sold in U.S.) might be seen as a positive sign — of young people trying to break free from the culture of untruthfulness in America (in vino veritas).

ArtInAmerica“Let’s not burn America down. Let’s take her like she is and rebuild her. We must maintain and advocate and promote the philosophy of non-violence…we must live together as brothers or perish together as fools.” Martin Luther King

MLK understood political liberation emanating from truthfulness and spiritual liberation, all of which would be lost in an “I am King” world.

It is the truth of the mystery of salvation at work today in order to lead redeemed humanity towards the perfection of the kingdom which gives true meaning to movements of liberation in the economic, political, and social spheres, and which keeps them from falling into new forms of slavery. Instruction on Christian Freedom and Liberation, 1986

ToysRUsThe story of progress in America has included abundant infantilism and regression — which should have assured the long term prospects for a company like Toys “R” Us (now closed in Times Square), but for the infantilism and regression of the (Superman) landlords.

Women-NASALast week we saw a woman playing a leading role in a terrorist attack on American soil, followed by the president of the United States saying that women would be serving in all combat units of the U.S. military.

WomanAtWar

Nihilist feminists believe that women-in-charge will produce better outcomes for society. And yet there is growing data (body counts) to support the view that women acting inorganically actually undermine society — and themselves.

DaughtersOfMotherIndiaDaughtersOfModernIndia3Asia Society and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women presented a discussion, 11/10, on women’s empowerment followed by a documentary on violence against women and girls in India.

Filmaker Vibha Bakshi was on hand, along with Rachel Vogelstein, senior fellow and director of the Women and Foreign Policy Program at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, DC; Noa Meyer, global head of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women program; and Leigh Gallagher, Assistant Managing Editor at Fortune magazine.

Ms. Bakshi’s film was made in the aftermath of the rape and murder of a 23-year-old medical student in Delhi in December 2012, and the nationwide demonstrations that followed. She hopes to raise consciousness about gender violence, and affect change, especially among law enforcement in India.

At the heart of the matter is the collision of pre-modern and post-modern Indian culture — lacking a shared view (old or new) for how to be healthy persons in society. American feminist interventions will likely make the situation worse, because their mindsets and programs tend to divide women from men.

The men are not the only ones committing violence against women and girls in India. Ms. Bakshi said Indian mothers typically abort their pregnancies when they learn that the fetus is a girl.

ClintonsAt this year’s Clinton Global Initiative LE asked Robert Rubin, former Clinton Secretary of Treasury, if he had any regrets about his efforts to repeal Glass-Steagull. Shaking his head, as if disgusted by the question, he said “no”.

In the recent Democratic debate Bernie Sanders channeled the establishment’s disorder when he suggested: “The American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn e-mails.” To which “Mrs. Clinton flashed a wide smile and shook her rival’s hand, ‘Thank you, Bernie,'”NYT 10/14/15

The non-being associated with dishonesty and imperial self-seeking is increasingly becoming the norm in America.

MaybellineNYCIn recent years feminists, like Hillary Clinton, have advocated for empowering women (with preferential treatment—scholarships, loans, etc.) for the sake of lifting/bettering society.

However, when said women are not rooted in truth and goodness the opposite happens, as we see today in American society and foreign policy. It was the U.S. State Department, under Secretary of State Clinton in 2011 (with help from Susan Rice and Samantha Power) that incited the uprising and criminal rebel action against the Assad government—leading to the hell that exists there today.

EqualRights2EqualRights5One of the participants/advocates for equal rights to bare one’s chest, at the “Go Topless” Pride Parade, told LE she graduated from Kalamazoo College in Michigan,

At issue are the rights of topless women to work in Times Square, posing for pictures and tips, often times with young boys.

It seems that the institutions of higher learning in America are misleading and deforming their students regarding “the question of the relationship between the person and society, and the rights of the human person.” Jacques Maritain, The Rights of Man and Natural Law (Gordian, 1943)

The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States declares that no State shall “deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of the law, nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” Today in New York, people (especially children) are being denied equal protection from predators who are claiming equal rights.

Let us not say that the aim of society is the individual good or the mere aggregate of the individual goods of each of the persons who constitute it. Such a formula would dissolve society as such for the benefit of its parts, and would lead to an “anarchy of atoms.” Maritain

TimesSquare-Stripper“I saw people smothered in filth, that out of human privies seemed to flow.” Dante, Inferno, Canto XVIII

Dante reports from the Eighth Circle of Hell, where he found seducers, fraudsters and flatterers (including corrupt politicians).

It’s been reported that the intellectual development of young people in NYC is being thwarted by air pollution. That should include the pollution from misguided notions of freedom, interests, rights and equality—unhinged from truth and the common good—emanating from ‘adults’, in New York’s ruling class, who see fit to enable strippers to prey on young people and unsuspecting families in Times Square.

Authentic freedom is actualized in the sincere gift of self, not the ASSertion of self.

HelpHelp2In her recent commencement address to the Tuskegee University Class of 2015, Michelle Obama said that one of the “indignities” that she and her husband had to endure was “people at formal events who assumed that we were the help.”

What’s wrong with being the “help”? Aren’t we all called to be “the help,” for each other, in various ways?

While invoking God several times in her remarks, Mrs. Obama failed to mention the timeless truth: “Whoever is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.” Matthew 23:11

Divine wisdom says that to be royal we need to serve others, but to serve others we need to be royal (spiritually mature).

Hopefully a Herzog/Livni victory will help Jews of Israel become their best self. HailTheQueensIn a March 8, 2015 Wall Street Journal Op-ed, A Better World Ruled by Women, Dr. Melvin Konner writes: “There is every reason to think that a future national hierarchy staffed and led by women who no longer have to imitate men, dealing with other nations similarly transformed, would be less likely to go to war. But that’s not all. Sex scandals, financial corruption and violence are all overwhelmingly male.”

Many people are taking such infantile thinking seriously and further impoverishing men and women through egoism, rather than seeking to be healthy together. Ironically, healthy well-adjusted women would not seek or even tolerate national hierarchies, staffed and led exclusively by women. Such silliness is the province of misguided persons, with identity issues, who should not be teaching at universities or leading nations.
