‘US-China Out of the Philippines’

FilipinoIndependenceDayFilipinos in Queens commemorated Philippine Independence Day (June 12, 1898) with a protest against Chinese and American intervention in their country.

After ‘liberating’ the Philippines from Spain in 1898, the U.S. stayed and fought a war against the Filipinos and hasn’t really left the area since. The 2014 Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) along with corrupt politicians, has kept the Philippines from dealing organically with its neighbors, while the U.S. uses it as a pawn against China.

U.S. involvement in the Pacific Rim (including American banker Jacob Schiff’s funding of Japan’s war against Russia in 1904-05) led to two World Wars, the Communist takeover of China in 1949, and some would say a Third World War — already underway.
